Remnants from the last flash flood loom overhead near the top of the canyon. When a flash flood overwhelms a slot canyon, a debris field builds up quickly often leaving stuck logs and rocks suspended far above the canyon floor.

This region was originally inhabited by the Paiute and Pueblos peoples. 10% of profits from the sale of this photograph will benefit the National Indigenous Women's Resource Center.
